Manifesting

A friend of mine has mentioned “manifesting” many times.

Manifesting is defined as the materialization of something.

I grew up being taught “ask and you shall received”.
I know that there have been many times over the 26 years of my life when I’ve asked for something, and it’s (directly or indirectly) come to pass… but I’ve never really felt that I’m controlling it per se. Maybe I’ve just been blind to what’s happening.

Frank created his “wish list” some time ago; a mental ‘list’ where he parks his desires, and waits  for them to come to pass.
An overwhelming number of these desires HAVE manifest themselves (or, should I say, he has manifest an overwhelming number of these desires).

Either way, with all of the things that I want, I figured that I probably should start acting NOW to gain the full control that I want to feel over the wheres and whys of my place in life.

First step was to listen to Dr. Robert Anthony’s ‘Secret Of Deliberate Creation’.
I’m currently in my first repeat of listening to this, as I know there was so much that I missed first time around.

Much of it is just a repeat/reaffirmation of the things that I’ve heard before in similar such audio programs, but Dr. Anthony had a way of putting some things that really hit home.

The way I view the world around me certainly has to change. He talks about being born with a pair of green glasses affixed to ones head, and how no matter how much that person tries, he’ll never see a while piece of paper as being anything but green, until he removes the glasses from his head!!

He also mentions that the brain functions with all kinds of presuppositions (past experience for example), so if you try to do something revolutionary, your brain’s natural reaction is to kick back a “does not compute” error message.

Once you accept responsibility for your choices/circumstances, you have the ability to change them.

Fear is the opposite of faith.
With fear, you worry, you empower negatives, you focus your imagination on something that hasn’t happened, and something that you don’t want to happen. With faith, you focus on your hearts’ desires.

Everything that will ever happen, happens ‘now’.

You cannot do something yesterday or tomorrow … if you plan something and down the line do it, it will be done in tomorrow’s ‘now’.
Focusing your efforts and energies on something that has already happened or may happen is a futile waste of energy. All energy must be put into now.

I came across another site which had a link to a 21-day $500 challenge http://www.loamastermind.com that I’m going to try.

The biggest thing that I’ve been asking myself today is, “why have I not done this before?”.
I think that I have, or have had a block against the real to-the-core belief that some kind of Universal Force exists out there that I can ‘control’/am a part of.

I was brought up in a strict practising Christian household, but turned my back on it when I was 17 or so.
I believe that there is life elsewhere in the universe, I believe that there are ‘beings’ who are able to help us attain the physical/spiritual things that we desire … but I cannot say that I’ve experienced this in a tangible way to the point that any deep-set doubts that ‘actually, maybe there isn’t anything’ are washed away.

So here goes another journey.
I must believe that this is the start of big things.
We’ll see what tomorrow holds. Ooops – I mean … NOW … !!! (this could get confusing!)
